The agreement

These terms are a binding agreement between you and Lexe Corporation, a Delaware corporation based in California ("we"). By using bitcoinrouter.ai, the API keys it issues, its Chat, or anything else we offer there (the "service"), you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you can bind it.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract where you live. You must not use the service where that's against the law, or if sanctions or export controls bar you from it.

Your account

There is no email and no recovery. Your password, or your account code, is the only way in, and anyone who has it can create keys paid from your wallets. Keep it safe: we can't restore a lost one. You're responsible for everything done through your account, your keys and your wallet connections, whether or not you authorized it. If you think any of them is compromised, revoke the key or the wallet's connection right away.

What we provide

We sell access to AI models run by other companies (the "providers", currently Tinfoil and TrustedRouter), paid for from a Lightning wallet. Each key you create is a key at one provider, issued under our account there and capped at what you've paid for. Models, providers, prices, limits and features can change, and a provider can change or withdraw a model at any time. We don't promise any service level, uptime, or that a given model stays available. If we stop offering a provider or the service, we'll refund what's refundable, as described below.

The providers' terms

Your requests go from your own software to the provider, under its terms and policies and those of the model's maker. You must follow them: Tinfoil's terms, TrustedRouter's terms, and the usage policies of the makers whose models you use through them. A provider can refuse or stop requests on its own grounds, and we can't override that.

Prices and payment

  • Prices are the provider's price plus our margin, as published in the docs, in US dollars. They exclude any taxes you owe.
  • You pay in bitcoin over Lightning, converted at the exchange rate at the moment of payment. Neither of us picks the rate.
  • Automatic payments. Connecting a wallet authorizes us to pay our invoices from it, in the amounts and at the times the docs describe, until you pause your account or remove the wallet.
  • Paying later. Your pay-later limit lets you use the service before paying. It's credit we extend at our discretion, with no interest or fees, and we can lower or withdraw it at any time. What you've used is owed whether or not a payment succeeds, and we collect it on the next one. While a wallet owes money on one account, every account it's connected to is limited.
  • Billing errors. We may correct them in either direction.

Refunds

What we pull from a connected wallet is a prepayment for inference, and the unspent part can come back. The full rules are in the docs; these are the ones that bind:

  • Pause your account and we refund everything unspent that we pulled from connected wallets, all at once, each wallet's share to the wallet that paid it. There is no partial refund.
  • Refunds are paid in bitcoin at the exchange rate on the day of the refund, less a 0.5% network fee. If bitcoin rose since you paid, you get fewer sats back; if it fell, more.
  • Refunds never go to a different wallet, a different person, or in dollars. Remove a wallet and its share becomes non-refundable.
  • What you paid by invoice yourself, including manual top-ups and the $1 try-it, is non-refundable. So is usage already made.
  • A prepayment buys inference through your keys and nothing else. It can't be moved to another account or paid out.

Your content

Your prompts, the models' replies, and anything else you send a provider go between your software and the provider. We don't receive them and claim no rights in them. You're responsible for having the right to submit what you submit, and for what you do with the replies.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

  • break the law, or infringe anyone's rights;
  • create or spread malware, or access accounts or systems without permission;
  • evade a provider's or a model maker's safety, sanctions, export or access controls;
  • interfere with the service, the providers, or other users, including with abusive automated traffic;
  • get around limits, caps or payment, including by opening accounts to multiply the pay-later limit or the try-it credit;
  • share or resell your keys in breach of a provider's terms;
  • pass off a model's output as a person's where disclosure is required.

What models produce

Models make things up. Their output can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased or unsafe, and it isn't legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. You're responsible for reviewing it before relying on it, and for appropriate safeguards where a decision matters: legal, medical, financial, employment, safety or anything else with real consequences.

Suspending and ending

You can pause or stop using the service at any time. We may limit, suspend or close your account for a security risk, a legal requirement, non-payment, abuse, a breach of these terms, or conduct that threatens the service or others. Closing your account refunds what's refundable, as above. Terms that by their nature should outlast the agreement, such as what you owe, the disclaimers and the limits on liability, do.

Disclaimers

The service's privacy properties depend on hardware and software run by the providers and the model makers, which we don't control. We describe them as they're designed, verify them where we can, and promise nothing beyond that.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, THE SERVICE AND EVERYTHING THE MODELS PRODUCE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE OR ANY PROVIDER WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE OR ACCURATE.

Limits on liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, NEITHER OF US IS LIABLE TO THE OTHER FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR WHAT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. THESE LIMITS DON'T APPLY WHERE THE LAW FORBIDS THEM.

Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, you will defend and indemnify Lexe Corporation and its people against third-party claims arising from your content, your unlawful or prohibited use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service changes. We'll post the new version here and change the effective date, and note material changes on the site. Using the service after a change takes effect means you accept it, except where the law requires another form of consent.

Governing law

California law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts in California have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and each of us consents to them, except where the law requires otherwise.

General

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us for the service. Your Lexe wallet, and any other wallet you connect, is a separate product under its own terms. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it in a reorganization, financing or sale. If a part of it can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part isn't a waiver of it.
